Join ACAAM’s Anti-Racism/Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee

ACAAM has an opportunity for members to share their interest in joining the organization’s Anti-Racism/Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee for 2022.

This opportunity will allow you to work with several accomplished and returning committee members to develop, implement, integrate, and support strategies and activities to achieve priority goals related to anti-racism, diversity, and inclusion and to create an equitable and welcoming environment within ACAAM.

In 2021, the Committee spent its time developing sessions for the ACAAM Annual Meeting, content for the organization’s newsletter, drafting the organization’s first DEI Survey which will be distributed in 2022, and identifying speakers for the several Racial and Social Equity in Addiction sessions that are a part of the National Addiction Medicine Didactic Curriculum.

The committee is searching for 1-2 fellows/recent fellows and 1-2 faculty/program directors to join its work.

Those who submit interest will receive feedback by the end of January on the status of their interest.
