ACGME Application Information and Deadlines

The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accepts new accreditation applications on an ongoing basis. Learn more about the ACGME program application process. The next set of deadlines and meeting dates of the 3 ACGME Review Committees (RCs) that oversee addiction medicine fellowship program applications are:

  • January 12, 2024, for the Psychiatry RC meeting on April 26-27, 2024
  • January 26, 2024, for the Internal Medicine RC meeting on April 5-6, 2024
  • February 9, 2024, for the Family Medicine RC meeting on April 18-19, 2024

Addiction Medicine Match Participation

Beginning with the application cycle for 2023-2024 academic year positions, addiction medicine is participating with the National Resident Match Program Medicine and Pediatric Specialties Match. Participation in the Match program allows applicants and programs to consider all options before making a decision. This match service is specific to ACGME-accredited fellowship programs.
