As part of our mission and dedication to help grow and support the addiction medicine workforce, the American College of Academic Addiction Medicine (ACAAM) is proud to offer resources for medical students, residents, and practicing physicians interested in exploring addiction medicine as a career path.

The 2026 Addiction Medicine Specialty Showcase will take place May 5, 2026, at 3:00 pm ET. This virtual event is designed to introduce participants to the field of addiction medicine and the many opportunities it offers. The showcase will feature:

  • An overview of the field of addiction medicine
  • Addiction medicine fellowship training and application pathways
  • Career opportunities across clinical, academic, and leadership settings
  • A live Q&A session, giving participants the opportunity to engage directly with experts. Attendees may submit questions in advance or participate during the live discussion.

This informational session is led by leading expert Vice President for Medical and Academic Affairs Tim Brennan, MD MPH.
