REACH 2.0 Scholar & Near Peer Applications Now Open!

The REACH 2.0 Program is now accepting applications for the 2026-2027 Scholar and Near Peer cohorts! This SAMHSA-funded initiative offers mentorship, leadership development, and national networking for those committed to advancing addiction medicine and addiction psychiatry.

Each year, 20 Scholars (medical students, residents, or fellows) and 20 Near Peers (early-career physicians) gain hands-on training and guidance in evidence-based addiction care, shaping the next generation of leaders. Full details—including eligibility, benefits, activities, Scholar FAQs, and Near Peer FAQs—are available on the REACH 2.0 website.

ACAAM National Addiction Medicine Didactic Curriculum

ACAAM hosts weekly National Addiction Medicine Didactic Curriculum presentations. The live, two-hour sessions are mapped to the American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM) addiction medicine exam blueprint as well as the ACGME medical competencies. Although designed by and for the addiction medicine subspecialty, the content will improve the practice of any physician or fellow treating or assessing patients with substance use disorder.
