The Spark Award
The ACAAM Award for Excellence as an Early Career Educator
The Spark Award honors an ACAAM member who graduated from an Addiction Medicine Fellowship Program and promotes the mission, vision, and values of ACAAM through their work in education and demonstrated leadership in the field.
Award eligibility, selection process, & Recognition
- Nominee is a current ACAAM member.
- Nominee has graduated from Addiction Medicine Fellowship Program within the last five years.
- Nomination Requirements – Complete the nomination form and submit a formal nomination letter describing the nominee's contributions to addiction medicine education, leadership, mentorship, innovation, scholarship, and/or impact on the field, as applicable, along with a current copy of the nominee's curriculum vitae.
- The Awards Committee will consider all nominations and present a recommended recipient to the Board of Directors for approval.
- In selecting recipients, the Awards Committee will take into consideration ACAAM's efforts to promote antiracism, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- The award recipient will receive a personalized award and be recognized during the Annual Addiction Medicine Fellow Virtual Graduation & ACAAM Awards Recognition Event.
